For King and Country

What a wicked night...woken by wind and rain battering the house about 5am this morning! We have seen some blue sky and a little sunshine but it’s been breezy all day.

Another of my “finds” being blipped today...a little matchbox cover made of metal which would fit the old Bluebell size matchboxes. (Back, spine and front). It probably came from my great grandparents but I’m not sure which of the world wars it was made for...the pictures look as though they’re from the first but they may have been used after the fact! I googled but couldn’t find any information online.
