Project 365 day 16: snow and rain

We woke to a light covering of snow, with sleety rain blowing against the windows. By the time I was dressed and outside with the camera - far too cold for dressing gown photography - it was raining heavily and the snow was melting fast. This is my view of the valley, from the balcony above the back door. I photograph it in all seasons and weathers, and watch its colours change. The light today was very poor, but I still love the way our very occasional snowfalls allow the hedgerows to delineate the contours and patters of the Downs landscape more starkly.
