British Gas came early to fix the broken boiler. That meant I needed to get these two out of the way. We headed for the River Tyne at Prudhoe, hoping for the best, but found that it was still very icy & slippy on the paths. The upside of this was that there were few people about; just a few fellow dog walkers. We stuck to the grass and managed to walk along the river for a good distance.
At the point where we turn back on ourselves, we spotted a number of goosanders, in couples, on the river, diving for fish. They kept us entertained for quite some time. Where's my best camera when I need it? I couldn't have managed the two doggies, the ice and a camera too though.
2 hours later (!), hubby called with the "all clear"! The boiler had been taken apart and fixed. Thank goodness.
The dryer has now broken though ! Agh!

Shopped at the new Aldi which has just opened in Prudhoe. This positive experience was spoilt only by the frenzied, stressful experience at the till ! Do they have to go so fast and be so bossy? :-)
Then stopped at m&s for a click & collect. My Christmas voucher from work had come through and I had ordered some comfy lounge wear to keep snug & warm in the house during this lockdown winter. It all fit perfectly.
