New shoots
With C away on a care visit to his Mum, I had some time to myself today. I started with a little bit of pottering in the garden cutting down some rogue flowering currant which was creeping through the hedge in the front garden. Then despite some dark clouds I set off for a walk and I found a new circular route taking me along part of the old Strathkelvin railway then taking a path off that which brought be back out on the main road to Milton of Campsie. The sun broke through for a while and it was pleasant to be out and about.
These catkins are just beginning to burst open in the park. A sign that spring is around the corner.
