Elaeagnus

I first learned the name of this shrub around 1963. I was an apprentice gardener working in Liverpool. We were shown 20 shrubs, flowers or trees each week to identify. This shrub withstands salt spray from the sea so had been planted extensively.
We remembered it as EPAV. ELAEAGNUS PUNGENS 'AUREA VARIEGATA'
