Escape from the Bunker

Had to post a letter today so headed out to the nearest letter box whilst not many people were about.

Lovely day, plenty of sunshine, what a difference.

So with the opportunity for a short walk I took some shots using my phone. This is a view through School Railings looking towards Guy’s Hospital and the Shard.

Lots of good news on vaccinations with over 300k vaccinations recorded yesterday. Let’s hope they can not only maintain but increase this number. I’m still confused over the prioritisation process given that a significant number of the first people being vaccinated are likely to be those who are isolating. Still believe they need to target all those people who cannot isolate first.

The news about restricting people entry to the UK without a test certificate is interesting but the requirement then for these people to go into self isolation looks to be not thought through and unenforceable. Other countries have isolated entrants in hotels but we are going to let people use public transport to get to their destination before they self isolate. With the monumental failure of Track and Trace how on earth Is anyone going to be able to check on compliance.

Still it’s a sunny day and hopefully numbers of new cases will continue to decline. Areas with the deep purple colour on the UK virus are decreasing but let’s hope the restrictions! are not removed too early
