WIth the the park road (between the roundabouts) actually closed for once, the hill was heaving, so rather than be constantly dragging the kids from side to side we just escaped through Dumbiedykes, with the intended round-the-hill-on-the-road walk delayed for less inviting weather when it should be quieter.
