Every Picture Tells A Story

Once the drummer with Buzzcocks in the 70s, John Maher now lives on the Isle of Harris where he photographs abandoned crofters' cottages, I've purchased a few over the years from him. Time stands still in this abandoned house on the east coast of Harris, the bright interior is in stark contrast to the often drab exterior. Many personal items are left by former occupants and according to a recent "Big Yin" programme, bibles are high on the list.

My album of the day is "Beautiful Freak" by Eels. Songs about loneliness, sadness and despair by Mark Everett or "E" who has been turning out weird, well crafted songs for years, sort of goes with today's blip.
