in memory of...

...lives lost

for those sisters - brothers, aunts or uncles - moms and dads - the favorite neighbor or sister-in-law - who will no longer - be sitting at the table - with you tomorrow morning - for breakfast or at dinner - tomorrow night - this is for you

because today i had a truly - special conversation with my 2 nieces - which reminded so much - of the conversations i used to have - with my sister - their mama, who we lost - four and a half years ago - and it occurred to me that - due to a mere virus - there are now worldwide

2,038,084 lives lost

and they deserve to be remembered - at least in some small fashion - so this is my tribute to them - as well as a cautionary tale - to anyone who might take heed - for themselves and their loved ones

-wear a mask
-wash your hands
-keep a safe 6 foot social distance
-get the vaccine when it becomes available to you

doing these things - is not only smart - it’s common sense and - will help us all live to see...
