From A Hotel Window

Others will have, must have,
looked out and seen this ghostly shape
(a heart?) at the start
of a working day
and wondered, pondered,
what it is
as the smell of toast and bacon
(breakfast is served 7.30 - 9.00)
brought them back on track
and put a brake on
such fanciful notions.
