A boy and a dog

Dan and his family joined us for lunch today. It’s been a couple of years since Dan launched his viking long boat and that was the last time we saw his kids. Shamia has stretched to being almost as tall as her dad and is a beautiful young lady. Braden is a typical 10 year old wee boy who was in and out the pool all afternoon.

Shiv took to him right away but was determined to “rescue” him every time his head dipped below the water.

Understanding that our elderly girl needed a bit of a break, he spent ages just talking to her, taking the black jacks out of his paws that were gathered on our wee walk this morning, while she offered the occasional paw.

We all had a great afternoon, especially Shiv who looked really disappointed when her new friend had to go home.
