Rotting fences

As I walked into the village where the river is forded, this field fence was collapsed. Whether the flooding from the previous couple of days was to blame I don’t rightly know. Local reports from the day before showed images of a Volkswagen about 10m from their horse shelter being abandoned with water up to the window line. By the time I was walking through the flood waters has receded to near normal levels and the ford was easily passable on foot or by car.
