RAT ( not Cat )

The Mono Monday challenge is again hosted by Picturemull and she asks us to respond to THIS blip of a Lucky Chinese Cat. I don't have one of these cats but I do have a Chinese Rat soft toy which I bought last year and named Rui.  2020 was the year of the Rat. It started on January 25th 2020 and it will end on February 11th 2021.  The 12 zodiac animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

The Rat was chosen as the first of the zodiac because of Emperor Jade.
Legend has it that the emperor was hosting a party and claimed that whoever arrived first would hold the spot as number one in the Chinese zodiac.The Rat tricked the Ox into giving him a ride and just as they arrived at the finish line the Rat jumped down and landed ahead of Ox thus being the first to arrive.

I had to get up early today as I was expecting a few parcels.  One of them was my new Sky router/hub.  Glad its arrived but I have to wait until 22nd January to activate it.

I've just spent the day at home not really doing much.  Watched the football on my computer this evening.  8pm kick off. Newcastle were playing away at Arsenal.  The Newcastle manager promised great things.  But yet again Newcastle failed to deliver.  Arsenal won the match 3 - 0. Newcastle are now 9 games without a win.  Desperate times.
