Two treats

My darling daughter, K, clearly feels I need cheering up.  Last night she bought me a bunch of red roses and today she made a chocolate cake.  Well, who couldn't do with that kind of cheering up right now?

So here are a couple of the roses.  I actually backed them with green paper, but the camera always want to balance (or re-balance) colours doesn't it, so here you have them against blue ;))

Hope your day's been a good one.  It's dark and rainy here with Storm Christoph and due to be the same tomorrow.  Que sera..  Wishing in particular that all US blippers have a peaceful and happy day tomorrow.  Doesn't your National Mall look a picture!  xx
