Fluff n stuff

Slept ok.....woke just after 8, downstairs sharpish to sort breakfast.
Sammy squirrel here was having his breakfast as I was preparing ours.
I think he's taken over from his feathered friends for today at least!

We were up and downstairs by 10, two day bags packed, with various drinks and snacks, plus a sandwich in mine for lunchtime. Hub will get soup and a sandwich whilst his having his chemo.

Traffic was quiet, dropped hub off just after 11......hospital seemed particularly busy!
I drove to Maggies and parked up, a 3 hr maximum wait, but might just vet away with it, fingers crossed.

Hub messaged after an hour to,say he was still waiting to be called up to the chemo ward. I busied myself, doing a click n collect grocery order for Thursday, then sorted out my new mobile phone contract. Another message to say he'd gone up.

Ate my lunch.......chatted to one of the volunteers a while, hub rang to say he still wasn't hooked up, they were having trouble finding a vein.....after 4 attempts he had to wait for a specialist nurse to try! Another message about 2.30 to say they were in thankfully, that means at least 3.5 hours from here on.

Had to move the car before 3, so took a drive into the nearby village, got myself a Costa, drank it sat in the car park, then drove back to Maggies, parked in a different place, another 3 hours......hopefully I wont have to move again!!

Maggies closed at 5, I'm now sat in the car uploading my blip to pass the last hour hopefully. We should make it home by 7 all being well.....no idea what we going to do for dinner, will wait to see how hubs feeling and what he fancies.
