Stink pipe
Having lived in the town for over three years, I am still amazed that I find new and curious things to blip occasionally.
Well here is a Victorian vent pipe, or more colloquially known as a ‘stink pipe’.
Stink pipes were originally intended to extract nasty odours from the sewers underground and disperse them high in the air where they would not offend Musselburgh’s Victorian gentlefolk.
Nicola has confirmed that our lockdown restrictions will continues till mid February ... the misery continues.
Take care and stay safe.
