Rise and Shine

It's not often you get a sunrise picture from me.  We left our driveway at 4.28 am and here we are at 6.00 am with half an hour to drive to the ferry at Picton.  The weather forecast had been for strong winds and the captain warned us but the crossing felt smooth to us.  I think we may have been just before the wind picked up.  When we arrived in Napier there was a gale blowing.  It was a four an half hour drive to Napier so it was a big day.  The adventure starts today with a drive to a back country station where we will stay for two nights.  Catch you on the otherside.  P.S These are new vines in protective boxes on the left of the picture.
