River Running Through

Whenever there is heavy rain we head down to the confluence of the two rivers that run through Blackburn, The Blakewater ( which gives. Blackburn it’s name ) and The Darwen . We don’t want to miss the excitement of all the water rushing past . The stretches of the two rivers near us rarely flood , only once in the 4O years we have lived here . 
  Like most of the UK we have had heavy downpours throughout the day which complimented well further frustrations with making contact with the tax office . 

On a brighter note I had a long and interesting chat with my dad , following his thoughts as he reminisced. He taught at the high school I attended so we have lots of people that we can talk about . 
I also read an article from the Guardian which was full of warmth and encouraging insights with regard to the rolling out of THE vaccine . I will try and post the link in case it’s of interest and you  want to feel a sense of pride about one aspect of this awful time .
