Gormley Again

I got up early this morning. It's been a tough week which has helped me realise how important it is for me to get out in the morning.

I love the Gormley sculptures in the Water of Leith. They mean different things to different people. To get this one meant being at Bonnington for first light. I've not got any filters for my camera yet so the only way to get the right shutter speed is for it to be quite dark. I've not got this image perfect yet....it would be better without the distraction of the sticks.

It was a busy day, with an ethics committee meeting, a research meeting and goodness knows what else. The emails were incessant, with lots of students to deal with. I'm hoping for a quieter day tomorrow.

In the afternoon, Rosemary gave me a shout.....I was nearly grumpy but she suggested I look out the window. A fog was covering the coastline in  Fife, with smoke rising from the Mossmorren Chemical Plant. There's another image down below.

The other exciting thing today is that my gannet picture from Tracey Lund came. I was sent a link to her website from the camera society as she's doing a talk on her wildlife photography nearly as we speak. It's the tea break!
