When I'm in need of an emergency blip, it's always a relief to find Mr A has been busy in the kitchen. On this occasion, he's been making chocolate chip shortbread, which is quite tasty, but not as good as the last batch of ordinary shortbread that he made a few weeks ago.

I had a pretty busy day of work, interspersed with a barre class in the morning, and half an hour's spinning in the evening. I didn't leave the house apart from popping across to the postbox at lunchtime. Now it's raining heavily and we can expect that for quite some time to come.

After dinner, we amused ourselves watching Whisky Galore. Always good for a laugh.
