Robins

I am gifted with 2 robins who call with me daily. An ample one and a less nourished one. They bring cheekiness and humour to my garden.
Within Christianity, this red-breasted bird has an honoured place as being the childhood friend to Jesus. In particular, red robin superstitions suggest they received their redbreast as a reward for protecting the Christ child from sparks of a fire, which the bird caught on his breast, while the holy family were going to Egypt.
Whatever the folklore.. They cheer me up!
