An interesting day

The clinical practice supervisor has certainly got things ship shape since I was last at the vaccine hub. She likes to get us all together before we start. Takes our names and our shift length, updates us with new issues, asks to we have any new ideas, reminds us to take breaks etc. It’s very refreshing to be organised by someone who genuinely cares about the people around her.

I went to the renal dialysis unit in the afternoon with a pharmacist and another vaccinator to vaccinate all of their patients. The patents attend 3 times a week for a 4 hour dialysis session. The unit run 3 dialysis sessions a day. I hadn’t realised we had as many people needed this service. It was good fun working with and chatting to the patients and nurses.
