Penfold postbox 1866

Out on my lunchtime walk, took a snap of this postbox/pillar box. I knew it was Victorian (because of the ‘VR’ - Victoria Regina - logo), but after a bit of googling when I got back, I found that this postbox is from 1866, designed by John Penfold, and is one of less than a hundred originals in the country. There is a bunch of them in Cheltenham, and about 5 in my area of north London - as well as some in far flung places like Uruguay and New Zealand.

This is still in use every day, after 155 years. Could do with a bit of TLC to restore it to its former glory.
