Orange is the new grey

The old tractor has a weird problem with the brakes, or the left brake to be exact. It locks by itself, making the tractor dangerous to drive, and possibly a symptom of a fault that might lead to more damage.

Lifted the rear wheels up today and noticed that the rod between the brake cylinder and the brake itself wobbles, when the lockup occurs. That was a relief, as I was afraid that the problem would not be in the brakes, but some gears or bearings, which might lead to very expensive repairs at worst. Of course, not sure what the problem is yet, but I think the odds are better this way.
