Rain & Cobbles

The rain continued, although not as heavy as expected.  The road flooded at Callis Bridge (yesterday's blip) and to help matters along, a lorry overturned on the M62 which was then closed.  The A646 is an alternative route so the traffic was horrendous through the valley.  As an encore Northern Gas were carrying out 'essential repair work' necessitating traffic lights right where the road was flooded......The police were called in to manage the traffic chaos ......
I understand the rest of the Upper Calder Valley has escaped flooding by a very fine margin. The rain is due to continue overnight and then change to sleet..... 
My Blip of wet cobbles seems quite relaxing compared to the above :-)
