It Rained Today

All day.

This little Iris reticulata was close to the edge of a frame where the glass was not fully closed and the wet and windy weather showered it with droplets.   

Definitely a day for staying indoors.   Meg got a short outing this morning while it was less rainy and we dropped off the muffins at the health centre but that was it.   The man who came to service Jamie's profiling bed had encountered flood waters at Talyllyn necessitating a long detour round the coast.   Hope he got back alright as rising waters at Bryncrug threatened his retreat.  We have water finding it's way through the roof around the sewer vent pipe, only small quantities appearing in the bathroom but there must be more lurking behind the false walls and above the - thankfully plastic - ceiling.   I've looked in the loft and the damp does not seem too threatening but will require remedial action when the weather relents.   Never a dull moment!

Jamie's made gluten free chocolate muffins - another success and another movie night awaits I think.
