Blending Modes

The weather has been too awful and grey to get any decent outdoor shots today.  I did take Pepper out for a walk - it was relatively warm and not actually raining but not the weather to linger and take in the view!

Back home I played with an old leaf I have retained for use at some point and some gold wire from around a bottle of wine.  Then I thought I'd start to get to grips with 'blend if'  and ended up using a mixture of that and normal blend modes to give some interest and structure to the plain background.  More work another day on that technique.
