Puddles!

We had a WET walk - the wellies when I took them off had a few inches of water come out.  It rained pretty much for the whole walk, we were out for about 40 minutes and there wasn't a single peep of a complaint about the weather - simply the size of the puddles if they weren't big enough.  All three children (if you include the puppy), had a wonderful time, I just hung out, walked a couple of metres at a time to keep some semblance of a walk going.  The boys jumped in every puddle they could find and the puppy happily did his dog thing around us.

Better school day today, they both did really well.  It's super hard going for them, the youngest is really a bit too young for it, but he's coping really well.

Today I'm grateful for:
The youngest coming to the table with a 'I'd love to' in response to 'please come to dinner'
A letter from the head teacher to the youngest congratulating him on his hard work (it's part of a ploy to make him feel really positive about schooling, but great that the school are putting so much effort in, it's only a small touch, but makes a massive difference
Children who don't seem to realise it's raining and that their wellies are full (FULL) of water - in January...
