Rising Water

Richard’s appointment for a vaccination arrived this morning. He quickly logged onto the NHS website to sort out an appropriate date and time. Naturally he wanted the first available appointment so it is in a weeks time at York Arkham Bar.

Went for a wander in the rather wet conditions. Was surprised to see the beck flowing over the bridge. Despite the flood works the levels are very high. Malton and Norton downstream are bracing themselves for flooding. I really hope no ones homes are affected. York looks in a precarious position with strategies to move people into Hotel apartments rather than the usual sports halls.

The next 48 hours looks crucial and I hope the levels can be controlled.
