An Old Salt

A walk down to the harbour led me to a distanced chat with an old salt. We were both admiring this old boat. He told me it was built in 1947 for the navy and was in the Isle of Wight. Latterly it has been in Brixham and used as a skip for nets and such. Currently being renovated. Come back in three months he said and photograph it again. In 9 years that is the first time I have had a sort of seafaring, nautical conversation . I felt like lighting a pipe.
