Another indoor project..

Further experimentation with my grass seed heads. Last week it was soft lighting with a textured background, this time creating shadows.

Lighting: borrowed soft box high above with the light at its lowest setting, little Manfrotto LED at the side to cast shadows. Tried grey & cream card as backgrounds, then white matt photo printing paper. Shadows clearest with the latter but still some texture in the shadows - something still glossier/smoother would be better.
