Tuesday, Light Snow

If I were an Eskimo I'd probably have the right word for today, light snow falling in straight lines, not the fluffy, floating kind. In front of the woods receding into soft mistiness, the gnarly old maple stood out proudly. I tried to pose him amongst the surrounding straighter ash which slowly gathered white coats.

Although the histogram stayed within its bounds, finding the balance of exposures for sky and snow proved difficult. Also, cooler scenes usually render best toward a blue temperature, but that seems odd with snow.
