Phenomenal Day

Today I'm not posting a flag in distress for there was light today...and a lightness that has momentarily lifted our country's spirits and and put us on a new pathway to justice most elegantly stated in the young 22 year old Amanda Gorman's inaugural poem.  She wore a red hat  like Maya Angelo would wear that Oprah gave her for this very occasion.  Below is just a quote taken from her poem "The Hill We Climb"

“We will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one. We will rise from the gold-linned hills of the West.  We will rise from the wind-swept Northest where our forefathers first realized revolution. We will rise from the lake-rimmed cites of the Midwestern states. We will rise from the sun-baked South.  We will rebuild,reconcile and recover in every known nook of our nation, in every corner called country our people diverse and beautiful will emerge battered and beautiful......"
