Thank you America

The inauguration of President Biden and Vice-President Harris took place from 3am this morning, our time.While we know of a number of people who stayed/got up to watch we weren't amongst them, despite being desperate for the inauguration to take place. Instead we recorded several hours of CNN's coverage.

We have spent today watching every nanosecond of the proceedings. We thought it was excellent. We want to thank the majority of the American voters who gave us President Biden and Vice-President Harris and who gave us back some sense of hope of recovery from the past four nightmarish years. What a mammoth job they have in front of them. All strength and power to them.

We found many moments very moving including the reading of her poem by Amanda Gorman, the National Youth Poet Laureate. What an extraordinary young woman.
