Afterwards, a bit of scrieving was brought to a halt by the inauguration of the new President of the United States, Joe Biden. Junior, apparently. And a very decent speech too, though maybe just a bit repetitive as he did the quiet sincere bits, the loud inspiring bits, and then did it all over again. Still, we got Lady Gaga belting out Jimi Hendrix’s tune but this time with words! On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes...
Haughty foe? French again, I imagine. They never rest. And then Jennifer Lopez managed to ring every bit of emotion, and signs of life, out of a couple of songs, including a well known Rod Stewart one. Scottish, in fact. Oh yes. I see a special relationship already. Does this Biden character like golf? We have investment opportunities.
