Not Portobello Beach Day 181

My morning run along The Ouse was a great way to start the day. I took to the walls for the second part of the run and stopped to catch my breath and take this iPhone panorama. The wheel that used to be in the grounds of the railway museum has rolled round to a new and permanent home in front of what I always think of as The LNER Station Hotel now known as The Royal York ,(on the left). The wonderful York Minster can be seen in the middle distance. There is always so much to see in York even on a cold cloudy day like today! When we crossed The Tyne on our homeward journey the sun began to appear and by the time we crossed The Tweed we were welcomed with blue sky and bright sunshine - which has been in very short supply in the south of Britain in recent days!
