Hope Springs Eternal

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

I have never felt more emotional about the inauguration of a president of the US. When Obama took office, it was joyful. This is too, but with relief in equal measure.

The daily game of “What the f has POTUS done today?” (initially played with casual ridicule but laterally with fearful dread) has been boxed and put at the back of a shelf, where hopefully it will collect dust and never be reopened.

I know Biden and Harris are not a magic wand but it feels like the world can breathe for the first time in four years.

Good people allow hope to flourish.
