The clockwork sky
Reasons for optimism
I went out to photograph the sunset's dying gleam, but I was too late. However, there was still a glimmer of daylight at 5 pm, when it would have been full dark only a week ago.
By the time this waning half-moon is full again (Feb 11), we will be able to think about the approaching spring. Just one more moon, and we're almost there, as the majestic clockwork of the heavens ticks out our lives.
