Come Hell Or High Water

Another walk to Latchford Locks today. There were so many logs and trees in the Manchester Ship Canal today, following yesterday's snow and rain, that it was like a scene from the Fraser river.

This barge, complete with crane,  was at the locks clearing out as much of the debris as possible. There was already one load on the dock awaiting the lorry to take it away. As well as natural items there were loads of plastic bottles, cans etc.

There were also 2 large freezers which had obviously been fly tipped and which had then ended up in the canal.
