Spate

I was curious as to how high the river had got.

I think I may have caught it past its peak, but the river was very much in spate and some of the riverside footpaths were impassable - not too much flooding of the surrounding land though. Plenty of semi-submerged trees.

It was good to see that the green footbridge has reopened after being declared unsafe a few months ago. Today's photo is taken from the bridge looking upstream. I've put a few more images over on Twitter.
