“Not Again”

..... I hear you say. The Grand Muveran appears numerous times in my journal and today it was only briefly illuminated before the foehn clouds reclaimed it again.

A few Alpine facts for those of you who like a bit of science....
What you can’t see from the photo is the speed of the cloud movement and yet there is no snow blowing off the mountain. It has already been compacted and made into drifts by the wind of the past 36 hours. The snow crystals have lost their hooks so there will be no adherence to the next snow layer that falls, huge avalanche danger is about to happen.
