Winter Parsley
...for use in tonight's pasta.
Once at breakfast, at a lovely B&B the four of us stayed at a decade ago, the host brought D. a plate of eggs and tomatoes and kindly pointed out that she'd put the parsley garnish on the side because, she said, she understood that young boys didn't always care for "greenery." D (who of course should have been polite but hates tomatoes) responded with "what about the reddery?" It's still a family line.
Happy Friday, everyone. Daughter I. is finally done writing her English essay about that book she couldn't stand, and a good moment of today was when I suggested an irreverent essay title and was rewarded with a full belly laugh.
