How high's the water mama?

It's five feet high and rising.

I had a bit of a shock when I went on my lunchtime walk, the river had well and truly burst it banks.

Normally  this river is about 4 metres (maybe 5 metres in places) wide, today it filled the flood plain which is about 500 metres.

The flow rate was rather rapid too, thankfully it looks like a few days of drier weather ahead.
