St James's Park - the pelican

Some of us had a session at head office this morning, which (rather than take the tube) for me means a walk up the Mall and round to Belgravia.

As Kieran, Andy and I made our way back past Buckingham Palace, we saw on the another side of the road this pelican. It belongs in St James's Park and I've not seen it for ages. It was being shepherded back into the park by a chap with a broom.

When I first spotted it it was right by a pelican crossing - just too far away and I couldn't get my camera out in time. That would have been the best picture in the world.
