Big Dave is down but not out

Big Dave (or The Boat as I call him these days) came in a few days ago covered in mud and some quite serious injuries, the worst of which was a deep bite mark in his head. We got antibiotics for him pretty sharpish, as bites are really nasty from an infection point of view.

The wound is oozing some nasty stuff, but he's going to be fine - I know this, because he's back to eating us out of house and home. I need to remortgage.
