Flooded fields
Non-clinical day now equals home schooling day. Really wasn't feeling it today, and struggled to keep patience under control while home schooling both boys. Had a bit of a break when Nate had his dyslexia lesson, but that was spent on the phone to an anaesthetic consultant in London who is just embarking on redesigning their unit and asked me for some guidance considering we are in the middle of our refurbishment. Was good to chat him and hopefully saved him a bit of time and effort by sharing experiences and thoughts. Managed to get out the house with Hector although the cricket/ football field was flooded as river had burst banks die to all the snow/ rain and so he spent most of the time swimming across the football pitch rather than chasing his ball. Afternoon was yet more home schooling and then to try and help with the cabin fever I jumped on the turbo for 45mins and blasted away until the legs died! Tried a new recipe for tea, was Stuffed Butternut Squash. I think we all universally decided we wouldn't do it again! It was just a bit boring and lacked flavour, oh well you never know until you've tried it. After putting kids to bed we jumped on a zoom call with Suzanne and Toots and Debs and Simon to do Jay's pub quiz. Hadn't done it since November so was good to get back doing the quizzes. Turned into a bit of a late one but hey good to have a laugh and we got 48/50 so not too shabby.
