Seppo

When as a teenager I became interested in photography, Seppo Saves had published his first book "Kameratulta" (Camera fire, 1961) about his time in Finnish army. From that book to the end of sixties he was my hero. making reportages all over the world, most impressive from New Guinea.

He was also the "young angry man" in Finnish photography.

Later he became my friend and the middle-aged angry man, still making striking photographs.

Now he is older, and not so angry any more.

Tomorrow we shall open his exhibition of his new pictures in our gallery.
