Lockdown crazy
It got light around 8.20. I decided to head out and, as we’d already had some snow, I kitted myself out in my snow boots and heavier, waterproof coat.
After I’d walked about 100 yards, carefully negotiating the slippery, icy pavement, the snow returned.
Turn back ? It would have been sensible. But this is lockdown.
I thought, a year ago I was in Northern Norway, on the Hurtigruten. I’m no wimp. So I carried on.
It was muddy. It was icy. It was bleak. But this is lockdown.
It was beautiful. The world looked so magical. Serious snowfall. Morning light with a weak sun breaking through. As I headed on, there was blue sky. A different kind of beauty.
The gunnel was muddy and deep, but my snow boots helped.
I enjoyed my shower and sat down to enjoy my photos, rather pleased.
And then it snowed - seriously heavily - for a while.
This crazy world.
My extra is a sheep who doesn’t know what to make of it all - any more than I do.
