Troubled Waters
Soddenbach is the name of the stream that flows past our house. Today was a s*d of a day too. Photo taken as Luna & I crossed the road bridge to set off on our evening walk. We didn't have a car as Angie had had to take mine to go and visit her father in Munich having just arranged for him to get the last anointment from a priest. Her car is still in the garage.
Her father is back at home after a few days in hospital having tests. He was pleased to see her, she managed to get him to wish her middle sister, Sigi, a happy birthday on the phone and organise a pressure sore air mattress. Only time now!
I had had yet another "to do" with delivery of a parcel by Hermes, an Amazon shipment. Happens every time. The Cheapest possible drivers hired on some sub-contractor basis, can't speak a word of German so can't ask anyone for help if they can't find the address and seemingly don't believe their SatNavs. Worst is they (the drivers or, as likely, the depot managers) then lie by saying they tried to deliver and nobody was at home but naturally there is no written notification in the letterbox. Feel sorry for the drivers but feel it is Amazons responsibility as the contract partner to insist on proper service. So there followed heated Tweets with Amazon and Hermes until about 02:00 am.
The walk finished me off, the snow really heavy and difficult to move in not just for me but also Luna who in many parts can only move forwards by jumping like a kangaroo.
A friend calmed me down on social media at about 02:30! It was the James Taylor's version of a 1971 Carole King song. I dedicate this Blip version to my favourite American (born & raised) Bliper MissWinterfinch who might like with the cat photo. I suspect MWF is a Carole King fan.
OK OK ...... Bridge Over Troubled Waters might have been better.
