'J' in Dutch = 'Y' >> 'Yan van Cuyk'.  Another windmill along the Maas.
The 'uy' or 'uij' in 'Cuyk' is actually an 'ij' sound' almost equivalent to the English 'ay' but with a 'u' twist that you need to hear.  That said, if you want to hear it in Britain, best go to Scotland... hahaha!  In the old days, this was written as either 'ij' or ' ÿ '.
In short, this windmill's name in English = 'John of Cuyk'.  It's a John, I guess.  Can you spot the two wee birds on one of the vanes?

Another lovely day and I couldn't resist going out.  Other than that, some intense hours of research as I am bent on catching up.  Sleeping patterns are still very chaotic but I guess that can't be helped.  It would appear that the Viking sent a thick document by parcel to Jay's erstwhile address.  He will have to make his move now, but, of course, we are not waiting for that and are forging ahead with our own moves, of which he is hardly aware, partly because he doesn't want to know what he doesn't yet know.  Justice wheels are grinding forward, not quickly enough but, nevertheless, they are not at a stand-still.  Au contraire.

Carmela is still at the garage.  There was something wrong with the rear brake system.  It will cost a few hundred extra... *sigh* but it should not be a problem.  She's a grand and dignified old lady with some creaking joints... haha!
